Jon-Paul has created a unique collection of Toy2R figures using the mythos of the Whispering Corsair to amass his crew. First fans were introduced to the Olaf the Mute (in 8″ Qee Bear form), then the First Mate Nathaniel Vigo surfaced (in 5″ Mini Qee form), now to be followed by their stern leader, Captain Sturnbrau!

While there are even more JPK projects being produced (The Forgotten and The Scribe Mini Qees), the Whispering Corsair collection is a wonderful tribute to the high seas and the mysterious that lie beneath the surface. Expect more surprises surrounding the Captain as the new year’s tide comes rolling in…

Toy2R expands the 36 Inch Artist Qee Series in 2011 with the announcement of 5 new designs by talented artists across the globe participating.

First to be revealed was Emilio Garcia’s Brain Pattern 36″ Qee taken directly from his original 8″ Qee release. This oversized edition will debut September 16th at TAG Gallery in Melrose during Emilio’s solo exhibit – Brain Evolution.

Next was Jason Freeny’s humorous Tongue Tied 36″ Qee design.

Soon to be revealed will be the designs created by Frank Kozik, David Horvath and Jon-Paul Kaiser.

Made to order and limited to only 36 pieces worldwide, each Qee will have an SRP of $2800 and be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Based on an original illustration by the artist, Toy2R has taken every effort to recreate this limited edition production Qee in unequivocal detail including having the actual artist sculpt the Qee innards.

Dropping later this year, Freeny fans will delight in finally having a collectible by the artist and with a SRP of $80 a piece – an extremely reasonable price for a collectible of this magnitude. Available in original form and the extremely limited glow-in-the-dark edition, this is a wonderful figure for any fan of designer art toys.

Voltaire’s lovable creation Deady is back and Big in Japan!

Dropping soon, this new incarnation of the Deady character uses Toy2R’s new 5 inch Mini Qee platform to bring Deady to life. Limited to only 1000 pieces worldwide, Toy2R has included three different versions in the assortment for fans to collect. From left to right in the image above fans can look for ‘Samurai Smirk’, ‘Ronin Raspberry’ and the ‘Karate Kai’ versions.

Like their predecessor, the 8″ Deady Qee Bear (now sold out), each Mini Qee figure will include a special gaming card that will enable players to access the Digital Pet, Deady’ to accompany them on their journeys through the online game, Adventure Quest Worlds.
